Mamie Lo-Burnette

Ms Mamie Lo-Burnette, R.M.T.
Mamie Lo-Burnette was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to Windsor, Ontario, Canada at the age of 2. She has a rich Chinese family tradition and is a masterful cook in many cultural styles.

She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The University of Windsor in 1993. Subsequent to that Mamie obtained a Massage Therapy diploma from the Ontario Business College (Windsor) in 1999. In 2000, she entered the massage therapy profession, specializing in therapeutic and relaxation massages.

Her desire to assist the community with their various body aches and muscle conditions was the main reason why she chose to enter this profession.

Mamie joined the team at Ottawa Mall Healing Arts Centre in August 2001.

Pursuant to graduation Mamie took Labour Support Coaching, which aids the expectant parents in making informed choices about the childbirth process. In 2004, she also took a Thai Yoga Massage course, which incorporates hands, feet and elbows to apply pressure in certain points to release blocked energy. This Year Mamie has incorporated the Hot Stone Massage into her repertoire of techniques.

Mamie teaches her patients about the positive impact of all types of massage on their health and over all wellness. Massage is a part of standard healthcare, not just a rarely administered luxury.

She loves her work and looks forward to a long career of caring and sharing.
